Garden tools range in price but be aware that, although cheap tools may look good, they can work out to be more expensive than dear ones. Good quality garden tools will last a great deal longer than cheap ones if properly cared for.

MAKE SURE YOU HAVE THE TOOLS YOU NEED

To get the most from your garden tools always clean them thoroughly after use. To inhibit the formation of rust it is a good idea to oil your tools before putting them away for winter.

A basic gardening tool kit includes hoes and rakes (Link to page 4a), digging and drilling tools such as spades and trowels (Link to page 4b), and miscellaneous items such as a wheelbarrow and some gardening gloves (Link to page 4c).
